Design and Material

Raybestos Performance Rotors are made with application-specific enhanced iron which:

  • Suppresses noise
  • Keeps brakes running cool, quiet and vibration free

Depending on the application, Performance rotors may come with a patented S-Groove slot (D640,620), maximizing pad-to-rotor contact for:

  • Improved pedal feel
  • Stronger bite
  • Smoother braking
  • Increased pad life

Cooling Vanes

The cooling vanes on our rotors match OE configurations, providing:

  • Optimal cooling
  • Reduced fade
  • Less noise
  • Increased pad life


Depending on the application, your Performance rotor will come with one of the following:

  • Black fusion coating on the rotor hat
  • Grey Fusion 4.0™  coating on the entire rotor
  • Black fusion coating on the rotor hat and Grey Fusion 4.0™  coating on the rotor inboard surface and cooling vanes. 

These coatings help to reduce rust for optimal airflow, cooling and aesthetics. 

SAE Standard for Tensile Strength

Our rotors meet the SAE standard for tensile strength, guaranteeing structural integrity and maximum service life.

Turned Finish

A turned finish minimizes noise and improves responsiveness for smoother stops.

Lateral Runout & Thickness Variation

Our Performance rotors come with a lateral runout of 0.002″ or less and a thickness variation of less than 0.0004”, ensuring:

  • Less pedal pulsation
  • Less brake noise
  • An extended pad life

Mill Balanced

Performance rotors are mill balanced and 100 percent validated. This helps minimize the thickness variation on the rotor and leads to:

  • Proper balance
