R-Line Hub Assemblies

Raybestos offers three generations of wheel hub assembly units. Each unit is designed to OE specifications and is tested for:

  • Endurance
  • Temperature control
  • Hydraulic and salt resistance
  • Metallurgical integrity and vibration

This ensures that our hub assemblies deliver an extended service life and a performance that is:

  • Quiet
  • Safe
  • Consistent

Generation 1

The first step in hub development, Generation 1 consists of a double row contact ball bearing with a split inner ring. The split inner ring allows each ball bearing to rotate independently. Generation 1 does not include a hub, which must be purchased separately.

Features:

  • Tapered or ball design
  • Double row bearing with angular bearing contact for axial stability
  • Pre-lubricated with an integral lifetime seal

Benefits:

  • Maintenance free
  • Maximized bearing life
  • No preloading required
  • Compact size

Generation 2

Our next step in hub development, Generation 2 adds a flange that mounts directly to the brake and wheel mount. This eliminates the need for purchasing a separate hub, unlike Generation 1.

Features:

  • Flange for wheel and brake rotor attachment
  • Tapered or ball design
  • Double row bearing with angular bearing contact for axial stability
  • Pre-lubricated with an integral lifetime seal
  • Integral ABS sensor included with some applications

Benefits:

  • Simplified installation
  • Requires no adjustment
  • Maintenance free
  • Maximized bearing life
  • No preloading required
  • Compact size

Generation 3

Generation 3, our most advanced step in hub development, offers a complete wheel hub assembly. Generation 3 differs from Generation 2 by adding a second flange that fixes the hub assembly to the suspension.

Features:

  • Two flanges
    • One for wheel and brake rotor attachment
    • One for fixing the unit to the suspension
  • Integral ABS sensor is included with most applications
  • Tapered or ball design
  • Double row bearing with angular bearing contact for axial stability
  • Pre-lubricated with an integral lifetime seal

Benefits:

  • Simplified installation
  • Requires no adjustment
  • Maintenance free
  • Maximized bearing life
  • No preloading required
  • Compact size
